Kodiak Economic Development Corporation (KEDC) is hosting a meeting between community leaders, business leaders and local governments and the US Coast Guard to discuss the planned Coast Guard expansion that will take place in the next three to five years.

At KEDC, we believe the arrival of the new Coast Guard cutters and their crews and families will present both exciting opportunities and challenges for our community. Mike Walsh from the Foraker Group will be on hand to facilitate the meeting with the expectation that we will have both an information exchange and an opportunity to consider what next steps, if any, the Kodiak Community should consider in preparation for the growth of our population.
