Kodiak's Housing Action Plan was selected for the 2026 Alaska Planning Conference, hosted by the APA Alaska Chapter. Planners from across Alaska will learn from the work Kodiak did together. In the session "From Plan to Action: Building a Community-Driven Housing Strategy for Rural Alaska," KEDC and Jared Reynolds, State Director of the Alaska Small Business Development Center, will share how more than 200 Kodiak residents shaped the plan and how the Housing Action Partnership is carrying it forward. The Housing Action Plan was made possible through a grant from the Denali Commission.
